How will the KS3 curriculum prepare my child for life in modern Britain?
The aim of the P.E. Department is to offer a wide variety of sports and activities that provide a platform for lifelong learning and participation. Social attributes such as commitment, determination and communication skills are delivered through PE so that pupils are fully prepared for all aspects of school life.
Information about extra-curricular sessions and extended learning opportunities available to my child.
Our P.E. enrichment programme provides pupils with an opportunity to access aspects of our Physical Education programme outside of lesson time. We offer a range of sports and activities in both a competitive and recreational setting. Our competitive pathway offers pupils the opportunity to engage in both intra and inter school competitions and fixtures. Our recreational pathway offers pupils a chance to try new things, meet new people and engage in sports or activities that can develop personal health, well-being and confidence. We offer both a lunchtime programme and also after school clubs and fixtures for a range of interests. We encourage pupils to take part in both areas of our extra-curricular provision.
Does my child need any specialist equipment for this subject?
Correct PE kit must be worn at all times with appropriate footwear. All equipment required for activities are provided by the PE department.
